A Montessori Journey Designed for the Whole Child.

Our full-day Montessori Casa program welcomes children ages 2.5 to 5 into a calm, mixed-age community where purposeful learning, independence, outdoor exploration, rest, creativity, and meaningful relationships are woven into each day.

Casa · Ages 2.5–5

A full day of Montessori learning, care, and belonging.

Together We Grow offers a full-day Montessori Casa program for children ages 2.5 to 5 in Vancouver. Our mixed-age classrooms provide children with the time, space, and guidance they need to develop concentration, independence, confidence, and a genuine love of learning.

Each day includes an uninterrupted Montessori work cycle, outdoor exploration, meals, rest or quiet experiences, community gatherings, and thoughtfully selected enrichment. These parts of the day work together to support the whole child rather than treating learning, care, movement, and relationships as separate experiences.

The Three-Year Casa Journey

Children grow from newcomers into confident classroom leaders.

The Montessori Casa experience is designed as a multi-year journey. By remaining in a familiar prepared environment, children build upon what they have already learned and gradually take on new levels of independence, responsibility, and leadership.

Year One

Building the Foundation

Children develop independence, concentration, and confidence through purposeful hands-on work. During the first year, they build routines, care for themselves and their environment, and begin exploring every area of the Montessori curriculum.

Growing with Confidence

As children gain experience, they deepen their curiosity, strengthen problem-solving skills, and work with increasing independence. Their confidence grows through meaningful choices and self-directed learning.

Leading with Kindness

Older children naturally mentor younger classmates, developing leadership, empathy, and responsibility while reinforcing their own knowledge. This mixed-age community is one of Montessori's greatest strengths.

Montessori learning moves from concrete experience toward deeper understanding. Each curriculum area supports the others, allowing children to develop academic foundations alongside concentration, coordination, independence, and curiosity.

Through meaningful everyday activities such as pouring, sweeping, dressing, food preparation, and caring for the classroom, children develop coordination, concentration, responsibility, and the confidence of doing things for themselves.

Sensorial

Sensorial materials help children notice, compare, classify, and organize qualities such as size, colour, shape, texture, sound, weight, and dimension, creating foundations for mathematics, language, and scientific thinking.

Rich conversation, stories, songs, vocabulary, phonemic awareness, sandpaper letters, and movable alphabets support each child’s gradual journey from spoken language toward reading and writing.

A Day at Together We Grow

A calm and balanced daily rhythm.

Our two Montessori Casa classrooms follow staggered daily schedules so each group can enjoy dedicated outdoor time, focused classroom experiences, and smooth transitions.

The rhythm remains consistent enough to help children feel secure, while educators remain responsive to individual needs, developmental readiness, weather, and the natural life of the classroom.

7:30 – 8:30 AM

Optional Early Care Arrival, handwashing, breakfast, and a gentle beginning to the day.

8:00 – 9:00 AM

Staggered Classroom Arrival Warm greetings, family transitions, classroom welcome, stories, songs, or the beginning of Montessori work.

Morning

Montessori Work Cycle and Outdoor Exploration Individual and small-group lessons, independent work, snack, classroom care, and dedicated outdoor time scheduled separately for each class.

12:00 – 12:45 PM

Lunch and Classroom Community Handwashing, table preparation, lunch, conversation, and participation in caring for the shared environment.

12:45 – 1:45 PM

Rest or Quiet Experiences Children who sleep are supported in a calm rest environment. Children who do not nap are offered quiet play, books, stories, or peaceful activities.

Afternoon

Montessori Learning, Outdoor Play, and Enrichment The two classrooms rotate between outdoor experiences, Montessori work, snack, circle gatherings, and thoughtfully scheduled enrichment.

4:30 – 5:00 PM

Regular Dismissal Children transition home through staggered classroom dismissal procedures.

5:00 – 6:00 PM

Optional Late Care A relaxed end to the day with stories, puzzles, LEGO, art, and quiet social experiences.

Exact classroom timing may vary slightly because the Dolphin and Beluga classes use staggered schedules for arrival, outdoor play, enrichment, and dismissal. This allows each group to move through the day safely and with greater space, attention, and continuity.

A meaningful early childhood program must support more than academic development. Our daily environment responds to children’s physical, emotional, social, and developmental needs with consistency, flexibility, and care.

Outdoor Exploration

Dedicated outdoor periods offer opportunities for movement, nature exploration, imaginative play, gross motor development, cooperation, and joyful physical activity.

Rest & Recharge

Children who need sleep are supported in resting comfortably. Children who do not nap participate in peaceful alternatives such as books, stories, quiet play, and calm individual work.

Individual Guidance

Educators consider each child’s readiness, transitions, regulation, family context, and developmental needs when providing guidance and adapting daily experiences.

Beyond the Montessori Work Cycle

Enrichment that complements our Montessori foundation.

Enrichment experiences are thoughtfully scheduled so they extend creativity, movement, communication, and discovery without replacing or unnecessarily interrupting the uninterrupted Montessori work cycle.

Creative Arts

Children express ideas through drawing, painting, clay, mixed media, music, and creative projects that encourage imagination, confidence, and joyful self-expression.

Yoga, movement games, balance activities, and mindful exercises help children strengthen coordination, body awareness, confidence, and emotional well-being.

Extended Care

Additional flexibility for working families.

Optional extended-care services support families who require an earlier beginning or later end to their child’s school day. These services are selected during registration and scheduled according to family needs and enrollment.

Optional Early Care

Early care is available from 7:30 to 8:30 AM. Children are welcomed into a calm supervised environment with time for arrival, handwashing, breakfast, and a gradual transition into the school day.

Optional Late Care

Late care is available from 5:00 to 6:00 PM. Children enjoy a relaxed closing rhythm that may include stories, LEGO, puzzles, art, conversation, and quiet social activities.
